About the Work
As a key sponsor of Questacon (the National Science and Technology Centre) Samsung had to get kids excited about STEM subjects. So we created The Make My Idea competition. A user generated promotion where students entered an idea they were passionate about, and if it made the cut, we turned it into a working prototype, 3D design or illustration. All thanks to STEM. Targeted call for entry ads went out on social media and we engaged key influencers to spread the word on their channels. We then broadcast the students’ ideas to the world on The Make My Idea Show on YouTube Live, a one-hour special hosted by our influencers where kids discovered the subjects they needed to take to bring their passions to life. Results: Over 6000 entries. 30% click rate. A 77% increase in consideration for STEM subjects.
