About the Work
Leo Burnett and Kellogg Canada have been working together for 70 years. Which, in a landscape filled with constantly shifting AORs, is the kind of partnership that anyone would be jealous of. To commemorate our 70th anniversary, we needed to find a way to not only celebrate our history together and all the work we’ve done in the past, but also show the industry just how unique, special and jealousy-inducing that partnership is today and will continue to be in the future.
When we looked back at our history, we found someone who would be more jealous of us than anyone else: Newt the Gnu, the mascot who lost out to the iconic Tony the Tiger. And based off this true – yes true – nugget of Kellogg’s history, we created a documentary showing just what Newt’s been up to while Kellogg’s and Leo Burnett have been busy crafting and building brands for the last 70 years.
