About the Work

As quantum computers scale, so do the systems needed to support them. IBM Quantum System Two is a modular, extensible system built to support the next stage of quantum computing technology. We foresee systems with classical bits, AI neurons, and qubits woven together in a hybrid cloud compute ecosystem so seamlessly integrated that it feels like using a single computer. We call this proposal for the future of high-performance computing “quantum-centric supercomputing”. IBM Quantum System Two is the core building block of quantum-centric supercomputing.
