About the Work
In our post-pandemic world, where work and the physical office have been redefined, company culture is an intangible force that can make or break a business. So, when it came time for us at BBH Singapore to update our company’s employee handbook for the new year, we found the opportunity to create something that wasn’t just a booklet to be read once and forgotten. What we did instead was create a truly limited edition drop; an exclusively internal launch that would make every employee proud to wear their BBH identity out into the world.
So, we unfolded a fresh approach to employee handbooks with Second Skin — a slick raincoat designed to tell the story of our work, our people, and our culture. Made for new and existing BBH Black Sheep, every panel of the coat contains useful information, guiding principles, and even secret easter eggs to enrich everyday life at work. Beyond company merch, Second Skin is an emblem in and of itself of the BBH ethos: When the world zigs, zag.
Designed for BBH Black Sheep, Second Skin has an inky-black nylon façade, a custom oversized silhouette, and handcrafted touches (from embroidery to fabric patches) — all of which were crafted over a six-month prototyping period. The result: Company pride that anyone would be proud to wear on their sleeve.
We do not measurable and quantifiable results. What we do have is positive feedback from proud BBH Black Sheep after receiving their Second Skin:
