About the Work
This year was full of artificiality, fakes and dupes. As a data campaign, we decided 2023 Wrapped could be the receipts of what really happened.
Our campaign “Wrapped or It Didn’t Happen” kept it real.
So real, we partnered with other brands to graph how Spotify data correlated with real world data. Like how streams of Mylie Cyrus’s song “Flowers” affected sales of flower bouquets on Etsy.
So real, we created interactive billboards that did things like detect lies or predict the weather based on the lyrics of this year’s top songs from Ice Spice and Karol G.
So real, we spelled out the entirety of Ice Spice’s “Graaah” lyric across 280 feet and made a lil’ billboard on real yacht for Lil Yachty.
So real, we created gigantic artist-specific objects in cities with their top streams.
So real, we opened a real life mini-mart (Spati Store in German) that let Spotify users turn their listening habits into currency, letting them redeem listening milestones for artist merch.
