About the Work

We created posters fitted with Bluetooth technology that allowed people to download maps of the local areas surrounding 15 London Underground stations that highlighted cool shops, bars, galleries and restaurants. This idea aims to promote the powerful mobile computing and connectivity of the Nokia Nseries. By partnering with Superfuture, an internet-based urban city guide, users were able to download maps highlighting interesting places worth exploring in that area. The user is invited to simply activate their phoneĆ­s Bluetooth capabilities and point it in the direction of the poster. The map is then downloaded within moments. In total, we created 15 different maps each tailored to highlight the local area around the specific station. The maps were easily downloaded via Bluetooth and were optimized to fit specific mobile devices. The content was available to all makes of phones, not just Nokia customers.
