About the Work
Our task was simple ñremind people to visit the Jeep booth at the NY auto show.
When people think of Jeep, one of the first things they think of is Jeepís distinct front grill. Visually, itís a big thing that separates the brand from other vehicles.
So, we played off this great visual icon and ìfound itî in city imagery.
This allowed us to say simply, ìJeep is coming to the city.î
Ironically, this image was shot in London not New York. We conceived of the ìDrainî ad but realized that almost all the drains in the U.S have horizontal bars, not vertical bars. And we need vertical bars to emulate the Jeep grill. Fortunately our photographer, Jason Hindley, is based in London. He found a great drain and no one was the wiser.
