The idea of attending an international film festival is often daunting to non festival-goers because of the stuffy, artsy stereotypes associated with independent film. So to encourage first timers at SIFF, we invited them to ìPlay Alongî using the most unintimidating vehicle possible- cartoons.
The humorous, simply animated spots set to music not only taught folks a little about the different types of films and genres SIFF offered, they made the whole experience seem fun and inviting. Afterall, who would want to miss a documentary about lesbian loggers?
