Max Ahlborn

Executive Producer

New York

Max Ahlborn is the Executive Producer and partner at B-Reel NY. The company was recently dubbed "Production Company of the Year" by Creativity Magazine and is behind projects such as the Wilderness Downtown (Together with Aaron Koblin and Chris Milk) for Google and Arcade Fire as well as the Mitsubishi LiveDrive and the Internet classic Hotel 626 for Doritos - among many others.

Max started his career at one of the dotcom flagships in 1999 and when that stylishly crashed and burned, Max joined B-Reel as a young developer and the start up's fifth employee.

After several years of coding and a few more pursuing a degree in Political Science, Max went on to co-found Acne Digital, the Interactive arm of the Acne collective. The company quickly became known for its numerous productions for Saab, BBC and the Swedish Armed Forces (awarded both lions, pens and eggs of gold) and was featured on the company top lists of both Creativity and Shots.

In August 2010, the time had come to leave Stockholm and re-join with old friends and colleagues at B-Reel heading up their New York office. Still a newcomer to the city, Max is loving every second. | @maxahlborn
