I have always loved Barcelona and creativity and, although I was trained as a designer and set up my own studio, I soon jumped into advertising at Y&R and JWT as a creative director. When you are a creative creature (and you like rock & roll), the body asks you for more: get out of where you are, discover new horizons and discover yourself by exposing yourself to the world.

After years of living in Latin America and Asia gathering incredible stories, meeting wonderful people, and learning from all of it working as GCD in Grey, I returned home at the end of 2019. I wanted to take some time to think about what the role of advertising, agencies and brands is today, and what it will be in the future. So, in the middle of 2020, with all the crises we are experiencing, we founded _2045: a New Independent Non-agency based on the past, created in the present, looking to the future.

Under Carles’ leadership, Grey Chile became one of most creative agencies in Latin America. In addition, his collaboration saw Grey Latam named Latin American Network of the Year in Cannes 2017 and 2018.

Puig’s work has garnered more than 90 recognitions in the most prestigious advertising shows, including 12 Cannes Lions, 4 One Show Pencils, and several recognitions from D&AD, The One Show, Eurobest, El Sol—including 6 Grand Prix—Fiap, New York Festival, Ojo de Iberoamérica, and Achap.

Carles has been honored to judge the work of his peers at The One Show, London International Awards, New York Festival, Fiap, and El Ojo de Iberoamérica. He is a member of Grey’s Global Creative Council.
