Kirsten Rutherford is an Executive Creative Director at TBWA\Chiat\Day Los Angeles. Kirsten’s career began in her homeland of New Zealand at FCB, before moving to the UK where she worked for agencies like 4Creative, Saatchis, Brothers and Sisters and W+K on brands like Honda, Amnesty International, Tesco and the Museum of London. After nearly a decade of London winters, she sought the eternal sunshine of Los Angeles in 2013, heading to 72 and Sunny before landing at her spiritual home of Chiat Day (with a brief holiday leading Expedia globally.) She has some lovely awards to show for it, and an accent that sounds a bit odd. At Chiat, Kirsten has helped create work for brands like Intuit QuickBooks, Discover, Gatorade and Make-A-Wish. She is passionate about driving business and growth for brands whilst helping them find, and live, their purpose. Her personal purpose is to make the world a better place through kindness and creativity whilst nurturing creative talent to do the best work of their lives. When she’s not working, she’s looking after senior rescue dogs, forcing people to eat her cookies and forcing people to take her group exercise classes.
