Gary is the Chief Creative Officer of DDB New Zealand. He has worked across Europe, Africa and Asia. He has led some of the world’s most celebrated global brands over his 22-year career and his work has been recognized over 350 times at all the international advertising festivals.

During his time in Asia Gary has been voted as Singapore’s most influential Creative Directors 4 years in a row and has led TBWA\Singapore to be the Creative agency of the year not just in Singapore but across South East Asia in both 2017 & 2018. He has also been acknowledged for his new business wins which included two of the region’s largest pitches to date and holds the accolade as being the only person to retain the Singapore Airlines over the last 12 years.
He is now residing in New Zealand where he joined DDB Group New Zealand and in 2019 he was ranked #3 Executive Creative Director in the world on Best Ads Global rankings as well as helping take DDB to #1 Creatively ranked agency on Best ads global rankings. In 2020 DDB received Campaign’s Agency of the year and then Agency of the year at Axis Awards in NZ and Australia’s Award in 2020 a feat that had yet to be achieved by DDB.

But Gary wasn’t finished there, and in 2021 he continued the success by helping DDB take home the coveted NZ Agency of the Year at the Spikes Festival in Asia and was also awarded the Grand Prix - For Good. This was then followed up by winning Agency of the Year at Axis Awards NZ making it two years in a row for DDB and once again achieving another personal goal on his extensive to-do-list.
But if you ask Gary what makes him the proudest, he will tell you it’s the people he has worked with, mentored, and helped grow into the great creative people they are today. The very same people that are creating the great work being celebrated on stages all over the world.
