Liu Zhao received the New York Type Directors Club Ascenders Award 2018, which recognizes designers who are 35 years of age and under for their remarkable achievement in design and typography. 2019 he became Alliance Graphique Internationale(AGI)Member , and 2021 served as Shenzhen Graphic Design Association Vice Chairman.
His works have won several international design awards, such as 2021 Tokyo TDC Prize Award; D&AD Graphite pencil Award; ADC Bronze Award; ONE SHOW Design Award; Design for Asia Awards Silver Award, Bronze Award; GDC Awards 2 Best Works Awards; HKDA Global Design Awards Gold Award, 3 Bronze Awards; ADC Awards 5 Merit Award and so on.
