Marc Wilson

EVP, Executive Director of Strategic Inclusion

Foote, Cone and Belding

Chicago

Currently, Marc works as the EVP, Executive Director of Strategic Inclusion at Foote, Cone & Belding, a Global ad agency located here in Chicago. In his role, Marc is responsible for all diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives within FCB, as they relate across the workforce, workplace and the creative output of the agency.

Marc believes that understanding people and uncovering their motivations is at the heart of connecting brands with consumers. An ad agency veteran of over 15 years, Marc has led and played an integral role in the strategic planning discipline at several full-service global advertising agencies, including Foote, Cone & Belding, mcgarrybowen, Latinworks, Havas and R/GA. Over that time, he has been able to use his strategic acumen, intimate knowledge of the multicultural space, and leadership skills to make a significant strategic impact on a number of top blue-chip brands, most notably Target, Kimberly-Clark, Clorox, Bud Light, Major League Baseball, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Jack Daniels, JCPenney, Disney, The Four Seasons and Oscar Mayer. Marc’s passion for bringing multicultural values and insights to the mainstream has also driven him to develop unique and provocative strategic platforms for such initiatives as Target’s dedicated Hispanic #SinTraducción campaign, the internationally recognized and award winning “Ponle Acento” campaign for Major League Baseball, and Lowe’s Home Improvements’ inaugural African American advertising initiatives.

Recently, Marc was humbled to be recognized as one of Campaign Magazine’s “40 over 40” honorees, as well as to receive the publication’s “DEI Advocate of the Year” award.

Marc received his bachelor’s from Duke University, where he double majored in Psychology and Sociology, his Master’s degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University, and a doctorate in Business Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. When he’s not at work or on a golf course somewhere, Marc finds his greatest joy in spending time with his wife, Kelsey, two kids, Isaac and Sheppard, and their 130lb bullmastiff, Deacon.
