Ryan Takashi Chun is an Asian American director, photographer, and cinematographer. Born in the Midwest, he grew up in the world of skate videos before a fall off a rooftop set his focus (and ankles) to efforts centered behind the camera. His work as a street photographer in Chicago pulled him from film school when he was recruited into the ad world, working as a contractor at Coca-Cola's headquarters and touring the globe for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Now based in Brooklyn, Ryan's DIY upbringing is still visible in his directing work. His eye for spontaneity and beauty in the unexpected serves as his signature for brands including Nike, Asics, Adidas, and Levi's.
