Nancy Beka is an Australian Albanian Graduate of Architecture & Director of Studio Edwards based in Melbourne, Victoria. After studying architecture at University of South Australia, Nancy relocated to Melbourne working as both design assistant & project management roles within Studio Edwards.

Nancy has a fresh and emotive approach to design that distinguishes her in the industry. She focuses on fostering long-term relationships with clients, contractors, and collaborators. Nancy is instrumental in steering Studio Edwards towards new creative heights and operational efficiency. As co-curator of alt.material, a design collective that develops prototypes and experimental works by leading and emerging designers, she actions her passion for exploring new design frontiers and materials. This initiative has become a vibrant platform for creative exchange and innovation, influencing design trends and future practices. Nancy’s commitment to the design community extends beyond her professional work. She has shared her knowledge and experience by tutoring at LCI Melbourne and lecturing at Melbourne University. Her dedication to education and mentorship has helped shape the next generation of industry professionals, fostering a culture of creativity and excellence.

Nancy also holds a Diploma of Project Management, underscoring her commitment to delivering exceptional projects and leading teams with efficiency and insight. In 2024, she was selected as one of Australian Design Review’s ’30 Under 30 Architects and Innovators of the Built World’.

Culturally interested in art, fashion, design, and food, Nancy finds inspiration from the rich diversity of Melbourne’s creative and culinary scene.
