Ely Kim (he/him) is a multidisciplinary Group Creative Director whose curiosity has led to his diverse range of experiences, from Design Director at M·A·C Cosmetics to agencies: Mother New York, Anomaly, TBWA / Media Arts Lab, and with clients that include Calvin Klein, Target, and Apple. He has expanded his practice to direct commercial work for Netflix, Spotify, and Kate Spade. After relocating to Los Angeles, he launched Besito, a cannabis brand, and was responsible for all creative from product design to campaigns. He has taught at Pratt Institute and at his alma mater, Art Center College of Design, where he received his BFA before receiving his MFA from Yale University. Mr. Kim’s artwork has been exhibited at Ackland Art Museum, Asia Song Society and Galerie Im Taxispalais. His upbringing in Las Vegas has given him a real passion for spectacle, which is obvious from his favorite creative output: elaborate costume birthday extravaganzas he throws himself.
