As a director Giordano has an innate ability to capture everyday life with such beauty and delicacy. He infuses his stories with palpable human emotion and visually constructs them with a language that’s reminiscent of indie cinema. With a background in still photography, and having been a part of the directing duo Vira Lata, Giordano has a range of projects under his belt, from commercials for Nike, Budweiser, Reporters Without Borders and Nissan, to music videos for bands such as Unknown Mortal Orchestra and SOHN. His work has been recognised by all of advertising’s finest, including D&AD, Clio Music, UKMVA, Ciclope and more. Most recently, Giordano directed ‘The First Speech’ for Reporters Without Borders, a powerful campaign exposing politicians’ use of hopeful rhetoric to manipulate elections. The 'First Speech' has been honored, amongst other awards, with the Grand Prix for Good at the Cannes Lions.
