Victo Ngai is a Los Angeles based illustrator from Hong Kong. She is a Forbes
30 Under 30 (Art and Style) honoree, a 5x Gold Medalist of the
Society of Illustrators, a Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis Best
Picture book winner, an Art Directors Club Young Guns Awardee,
a Hugo Award Nominee. and the first Chinese honoree of the
coveted Society of Illustrators Hamilton King award, which is
regarded as a lifetime achievement award in the industry.

Victo’s art has often been described as magical realism. Each
creation in Victo's world is layered with symbolism and stories
that reveal more each time the viewer is engaged. In Victo’s
magical illustration world, she elegantly weaves her delicate line
and color with an updated contemporary nod to her cultural
identity and a forward vision as a storyteller, solving visual
problems and seeking daily new adventures.

Victo has served on the jury of professional illustration
