Mike Joyce is the founder of Stereotype Design in New York City. He has designed album packaging for established artists including Iggy Pop, The Cars, Katy Perry, The Replacements, Fall Out Boy, Willie Nelson, The Lemonheads, Morphine, Miles Davis, Thirty Seconds to Mars, The Runaways, New York Dolls, Cursive, and Aretha Franklin. His work has been featured in over 180 publications including Print, Communication Arts, Eye, Rolling Stone, Graphic, How, Inked, NME, Interview, New York Magazine, Time Out, Details, Real Simple, and The Village Voice. In 2000 Mike was selected for Print magazine’s exclusive New Visual Artists annual issue, showcasing twenty up-and-coming designers under the age of 30. His work has been shown in exhibitions by AIGA, Type Directors Club, The One Club, the Art Directors Club’s first Young Guns show, and selected for the permanent collections of the Museum of Design Zürich, Poster House Museum, and the Library of Congress.
