With the development of artificial intelligence, the answer to this question is getting more ambiguous. While AI helps improve productivity, it significantly lowers the cost of spamming. The fight against abusing technology is an everlasting campaign. Provo is one of them.
Humans and robots behave essentially differently on reading and understanding, allowing CAPTCHA to be functional. Even if all the words are misspelled, humans can read paragraphs, while robots will have a much harder understanding.
