The Young Ones competition is one of the most acclaimed advertising, interactive and design student competitions. It has a tradition of excellence dating back to 1986.
Since 2013, the Salzburg festival format Creativity Rules has offered insights into the creative world of tomorrow. Whether design, film, audio, animation or game - the festival presents special works by young creatives and invites international speakers to explore new realities. In 2021, the festival was 100% digital - free of charge and everywhere. The task was to design a new identity around the motto "New Realities" for all channels of the event.
Even before the pandemic, we decided on the motto "New Realities", which for us describes feelings ranging from unease to curiosity, an anticipation of the new and the idea of infinite possibilities. The goal was to create a seamless audiovisual connection between the digital space, the livestream and the studio to immerse viewers in an immersive online experience.
Variability, speculative typography and intertwined 3D visuals make the different possibilities of new realities visible. Together with loud colors and banging sound, the audience is taken into an online world full of creative explosions.
