The Young Ones competition is one of the most acclaimed advertising, interactive and design student competitions. It has a tradition of excellence dating back to 1986.

We created ERA NYC to spread the New York Historical Society’s passion for history by connecting NYC residents to the overlooked stories of their everyday urban settings. We created 5 main features: an AR timeline, a personal log, an interactive map, and a learning area, and homescreen widgets. Our features provide a personal and engaging way to educate those living in New York about the city’s plentiful past. Our information will give users a more grounded approach to history, as we understand learning about such topics can sometimes be dry.
With the app, we hope that all users feel more like a better New Yorker with each use.
