The Young Ones competition is one of the most acclaimed advertising, interactive and design student competitions. It has a tradition of excellence dating back to 1986.
Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine forced millions of people to leave their homes and move abroad. Most of them, especially kids, have severe PTSD and are triggered by loud noises. So JBL and UNICEF created Safe & Sound — special headphones that filter and cancel sounds of the same frequency as bombing, shooting, or air raid alarms. Every kid can receive a pair at a Unicef Blue Dot Center. The headphones work both for external sounds, like subway or garbage machine, and for streamed sounds in movies and music. Over time, Safe & Sound will filter less and less of the triggering frequencies, helping kids gradually adjust to their surroundings.
