Bio
Hi my name is Felix Foltas and I’m a Cinematographer from Austrian and currently studying at the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg.
My passion for cinematography and the medium film all together comes from a life-long obsession with the little things about it. Particular how you can transform the world around you with the help of optics and light. Creating a new world within the one existing already. Using what not to show to your advantage, letting the audiences imagination fill in the rest. So you can focus on what matters to the story and what helps tell it in the best possible way. Ever since I got my first camera in middle school I see the world around me in a different way. To have an image in your minds-eye and then weeks, months or even years later to have your vision in front of you in the viewfinder is something truly special for me. For me it is all about pushing the envelope, always going further than before.
