Many women experience sexual assault during driving lessons. Almost everyone knows someone who knows someone or has a story to tell. But far too few women press charges. So there are hardly any figures or statistics that could compel action:
In the film "The Test" Lea (19) just wants to pass her driving test, but while driving she is repeatedly haunted by unpleasant memories from her driving lessons until she threatens to lose control of the vehicle.
Trapped in the car. This is what driving school feels like for many victims of power abuse. They are trapped and at the mercy of others. We want to emphasize this feeling and have the entire plot take place in the car. This short film is a representation of all the stories that women have been telling each other for years about their driving lessons. All the situations in the script were told to us by those affected. They really happened. The film shows a frightening status quo that should no longer exist in the future.
