The famous and notorious dominatrix Lady Painmaker has a particularly demanding client today: Carol loves pain more than anything, but somehow the methods don't seem to work on her. Lady Painmaker is on the verge of despair, but she has one last idea...
With our spec spot "Lady Painmaker" we wanted to dust off the topic of UTIs. A large amount of women suffers from bladder infections at least once in their lives, many of them several times. We didn't want our ad to be old-fashioned, as you might imagine a pharmaceutical ad to be, but scandalous, sexy and humorous. So everything you wouldn't expect from an UTI commercial.
The self-chosen product is "Femannose" from the german brand Klosterfrau, which is effective through natural ingredients.
Our cinematographer was working very closely with the production design department to get the visual world for Lady Painmaker right. Wide lenses and bright colors gave the shots some additional absurdity. We wanted to tell a dominatrix studio that feels very feminine as "Femannose" is also a product targeted to female consumers.
