The famous and notorious dominatrix Lady Painmaker has a particularly demanding client today: Carol loves pain more than anything, but somehow the methods don't seem to work on her. Lady Painmaker is on the verge of despair, but she has one last idea...
With our spec spot "Lady Painmaker" we wanted to dust off the topic of UTIs. A large amount of women suffers from bladder infections at least once in their lives, many of them several times. We didn't want our ad to be old-fashioned, as you might imagine a pharmaceutical ad to be, but scandalous, sexy and humorous. So everything you wouldn't expect from an UTI commercial.
The self-chosen product is "Femannose" from the german brand Klosterfrau, which is effective through natural ingredients.
As a director it was important for me, to raise some awareness for the UTI topic as it is usually associated with a lot of shame and people are afraid to talk about it. I wanted to create a dark & sexy but also humorous world and it was essential to find the right actresses and to see that the tone of the film works in every department. (Director: Vanessa Stachel)
