Google Maps tells us that our walking speed is 5km/h. However, many transportation disadvantaged people receive an estimated time of arrival that is completely different from their actual time of arrival. They also encounter inadequate pedestrian facilities. How can we address their discomfort and advocate for faster sidewalk repairs?
Google Maps analyzes your walking speed to give you a "hyper-personalized" ETA. We're also introducing a "street star rating system" that lets you write reviews of walking facilities. Google Maps users can freely write reviews on the map about the walking problems they have encountered.
