The Young Ones competition is one of the most acclaimed advertising, interactive and design student competitions. It has a tradition of excellence dating back to 1986.
This piece is a mock title and promo for IdeaFest, Indonesia's biggest festival and conference celebrating the convergence of culture, art, and technology. It is one of the most anticipated events for the nation's creatives and is becoming an essential destination for global entrepreneurs, storytellers, and curious individuals. Every year, IdeaFest offers various panels, discussions, and programs that empower creative communities and encourage them to unleash their full potential.
Inspired by the root cause of the event and the different themes they've had in the past, the main goal of this piece is to visualize the sense of community the event brings and the emphasis on creativity and the future. To achieve this, a vibrant color scheme and a playful design system composed of different unique abstract shapes are used. The shapes' journey highlights the event's three main focuses – connection, transformation, and the future. The form of the abstract shapes was also inspired by artists who explore ideas of metamorphosis and change in their works, such as Yoshimasa Kato, Yuichi Ito, and Mariko Mori.
