In our Western, patriarchal society, the female body and its biological functions are often stigmatized. Based on personal experience, vaginal discharge is rarely discussed, even in school education. This can lead to confusion, discomfort, and shame during early puberty, even though vaginal discharge is a significant medical indicator of health. We aim to end the taboos and stigma so that young women can feel comfortable with all aspects of their bodies.
A protagonist empathetically guides us through the diversity of vaginal discharge, starting in a bathroom where a young woman hesitantly examines her discharge. The protagonist reassures her and us that this is completely natural and explains the different types of discharge throughout the menstrual cycle. We are then metaphorically and visually taken to an empty swimming pool and a changing room, where the variety of discharges is experienced and explored. Finally, we arrive in a classroom where the protagonist explains discharges that can indicate infections and diseases.
