Helping transgender people see themselves as they truly want, one photo at a time.
the problem
People with gender dysphoria often avoid being photographed. For many trans individuals, seeing pictures of themselves before transitioning can be distressing-triggering discomfort, dysphoria, and even trauma. These images may feel like a mismatch, failing to reflect their true gender identity and leaving them feeling disconnected or alienated from themselves.
execution
The new Google Pixel Al helps transgender people who haven't transitioned yet see themselves as they truly feel—so they no longer have to avoid photos and miss out on capturing meaningful memories.
This feature uses Al-powered technology to subtly adjust facial features, hair, and other anatomical visual elements. By leveraging advanced machine learning and facial recognition, the feature creates a more aligned and affirming reflection-offering a glimpse of their true identity in real time or through old photos
