Against the backdrop of the growing demand for cultural tourism, I designed a project based on Macau's World Heritage Architecture. The aim is to help young people better understand its historical and cultural values.
For the design, I created a grid system using geometric shapes from the Ruins of St. Paul's, like circles, arcs, and spires. This grid serves as a framework for letter design, ensuring consistency and proportion in the typeface. I also set three usage methods for the grid according to different font and symbol shapes.
The accompanying booklet covers the architecture's background, style, font design methods, and application examples. It features a section on the "ST.PAUL'S" font.
As for making seals, stamp - collecting is popular among young travelers. Stamps are commemorative and good for spreading local culture. Seals, being small and portable, are equally appealing to tourists and can boost sales.
