The Young Ones competition is one of the most acclaimed advertising, interactive and design student competitions. It has a tradition of excellence dating back to 1986.
In Latin America, many young professionals exaggerate and lie about their English skills on their resumes to get better jobs. They call it intermediate and hope no one notices. But when it’s time to prove it, reality catches up.
Duolingo presents: “The Career Guide," a strategy that turns fake intermediate English into real skills. Duo the Owl is launching his first LinkedIn profile to help people match the English level they fake. He’ll partner with global companies. Then he'll transform job applications into learning opportunities and reminders to return to Duolingo.
When someone applies, Duo will slide into their DMs, test their skills, and build them a learning path on Duolingo. The goal? Convert fake English into real skills, help them get certified, and finally land a job.
