The challenge Coca-Cola presented was clear: become a real part of food culture and inspire people to choose Coca-Cola Zero Sugar during meal moments.
But today, people don’t only choose what to eat, they choose the values behind it.
A new generation cares about where food comes from, how it’s produced, and the impact it has on their communities. This growing mindset has pushed many diners toward restaurants that prioritize local sourcing, seasonal ingredients and responsible cooking.
At the same time, many of these restaurants share something in common: they work with zero-mile ingredients, sourcing products from nearby producers and supporting local food ecosystems.
That’s where we saw the connection.
By linking the “Zero” of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar with the philosophy of zero-mile cooking, we created Coca-Cola Zero Miles, a guide designed to give visibility to restaurants that cook with real local values.
This guide doesn’t judge how trendy or expensive a restaurant is. Instead, it focuses on how the food is made. If a restaurant sources 90% or more of its ingredients locally, it earns a place in the guide and receives the Zero Miles Seal, making its commitment visible to diners.
In doing so, Coca-Cola becomes part of a food culture that values proximity, responsibility and authenticity, while using its scale to amplify restaurants that often go unnoticed.
And we go even further.
Coca-Cola has famously put people’s names on its cans before. This time, we put the names of these Zero Miles restaurants on them.
Turning every can into a way to discover local food culture.
Coca-Cola Zero Miles.
