Gail Anderson is the creative director of Visual Arts Press, at the School of Visual Arts in NYC. Anderson is also a founding partner at Anderson Newton Design, and serves as chair of the design subcommittee on the Citizens' Stamp Advisory Committee for the United States Postal Service. Anderson's work is in the permanent collections of the Library of Congress, the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum, the Milton Glaser Design Archives, and the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Anderson received the Lifetime Achievement Medal from AIGA in 2008, and she is co-author of a dozen books on design, illustration, and typography.
