Namrata Goyal is a type designer and consultant based in India. With nearly ten years of experience under her belt, she pursued her love of type with a condensed course in Typeface Design at TypeAtCooper in New York, and in 2017 completed a thesis project exploring newspaper types and multi-script typography at TypeMedia at the Royal Academy of Art in the Hague, Netherlands. Namrata has been working with Universal Thirst since 2016, primarily focusing on North Indian and Latin scripts. She also publishes independent projects on FutureFonts, and when she’s not at her desk enjoys carving letters in stone and teaching type.
