Shameless Self-Promotion: Finding Your Self-Promotion Superpower

Shameless Self-Promotion: Finding Your Self-Promotion Superpower

Thursday, September 10, 2020
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Self-promotion is essential to career advancement and yet a recent Harvard study found that women are 33% less likely to self-promote than men. Add in the new normal of social distancing and WFH, and the casual “Hi, let’s go and grab a coffee!” is a no-go anymore. Since jobs are scarce, self-promotion is all the more important — and the need to find different ways to throw your hat in the ring is paramount. How do we come across as creative, gutsy and ‘must have’ without seeming desperate, arrogant or irrelevant?

During this virtual discussion, futurefactor’s founding partner, Kerrie Finch, will get together with business leaders - 3 women and 1 man - to talk candidly about taking the shame out of self-promotion. How do you get that (virtual) meeting with your top-listed prospects? And when you get it, how do you nail that video call? How do you successfully promote your accomplishments and side-hustles?

Join the conversation to learn from the best in business and gain practical insight into tools for business development — and have a laugh about the faux pas we all make.
