L.A. Mask Print Project Poster / City of Los Angeles

Description

As we all learn to live with COVID-19, we must do everything we can to protect ourselves and one another. Wearing a mask is a sign of respect — to our neighbors, our nurses, doctors, and essential workers, our loved ones, and our fellow Angelenos. The City of L.A. teamed up with locals artists, to develop posters for all Angelenos to put up in their homes and shop windows. They are free to use and anyone can print them using their printer.

Objective

Los Angeles is a creative capital, and we want to harness that creativity to spread awareness about the importance of wearing masks. The City of L.A. just selected a poster I did to be among the ones featured in the L.A. Mask Print Project. #LAProtects

Technical Challenge

Designing a message in a poster format is one thing. Making sure it’s seen properly is another. The challenge is asking website visitors to download the digital file and print from their printers. Since we don’t have control over printing quality, we can at least control the file specifications and size for a mass audience use.
