NEW YORK (October 26, 2005) - The best ads from some of the world's leading creative talent will be on display during the 2005 One Show Chicago Exhibit at Columbia College Chicago, November 4-11. The work was originally judged and awarded as part of the One Show, One Show Design, and One Show Interactive, where ceremonies took place in New York City in May.

The One Show Chicago Exhibit will kick off on November with a gala reception on Thursday, November 3, from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. at Post Effects. Wine and hors d'oeurves will be served.

"This is one of the world's most prestigious advertising award programs and Columbia is honored to sponsor the Chicago showing as our gift to the advertising community," said Professor Larry Minsky of the college's Marketing Communications Department who is helping to organize the 2005 One Show Chicago Exhibit.

Winners in all One Show awards competitions received Gold, Silver and Bronze Pencils, considered the zenith of achievement within the advertising industry. All finalists received Merit Awards. The contenders were selected from nearly 17,000 entries from 58 countries worldwide.

The agencies receiving the most number of awards were: the TBWA network with 14 Pencils; Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide with nine; and DDB Worldwide with eight Pencils. One Show Interactive awarded 12 Pencils to Crispin Porter + Bogusky for clients such as Burger King, MINI and Virgin Atlantic Airways. The Ogilvy network had four Pencils in One Show Interactive. Goodby, Silverstein & Partners was awarded four Pencils for clients including Hewlett-Packard and Saturn.

For the first time in the 30-year history of the One Show, a Gold-winning entry from the Middle East took top honors. Tonic Communications, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, was lauded for its print spread for Sony, entitled "Paperclip."

"The One Club is pleased to bring some of the most innovative creative advertising work from the past year to Chicago," said Mary Warlick, Executive Director of the One Club. "We recognize the importance of total integration in successful advertising, and this is absolutely the best of the best."
