After several rounds of judging that culminated in hours of deep discussion, the winners of Young Guns 23 have finally been revealed! And to absolutely nobody’s surprise, it’s another outstanding class of phenomenally talented individuals and teams across a wide variety of creative disciplines. This year, we are thrilled to welcome 33 winners into the Young Guns family!
Ahead of the YG23 Ceremony + Party, taking place at Manhattan’s Sony Hall on Wednesday, January 28 — you’ve already snagged your tickets, haven’t you? — we’ve captured a few thoughts from all of this year’s winners.

How did Young Guns get on your radar?
I was first introduced to Young Guns by my dear friend and colleague Parker Schmidt. Having seen so much young talent — and other class editors like Mah Ferraz and Nik Kohler take home the award — I thought, why not try my hand at it?
Above all, it offers a meaningful way to connect with like-minded creatives and shape our careers together.
How did you end up in the creative field?
I’ve gained a lot of inspiration from my folks in a strange roundabout way. My mum is an artist that restores antiques, and my pops has played polo professionally all his life. Witnessing them pursue what they love made me determined to do the same in my own career.
So when I started editing for the first time, something clicked and I knew this was the path for me.

Why did you decide to enter this year?
This is actually the first time I’ve ever submitted my work for any type of award — so to say I was pleasantly surprised when I won is an understatement. This year has been marked by so many milestones that have played a pivotal role in the growth of my career.
It’s the first time in my life I have ever been freelance. I had the honor to be picked up by the amazing folks over at Trim for representation. I’ve had the privilege to collaborate with so many talented individuals — and I finally got a desk in my apartment (which, if you know me, you’ll know how momentous an occasion that was).
Overall, it felt like the right moment to trust the momentum and go for it.
You only get to submit six projects. How did you decide what made the cut?
It felt important to showcase the full scope of my work and what I’m capable of. Each project is different from the next, as I really do enjoy the vast nature of our industry and what it has to offer.
“It felt like the right moment to trust the momentum and go for it.”
What was your reaction when you found out you won?
I thought I was being scammed! In my head I was like, “No chance I just won YG23!?” I called up my EP Michael Miller over at Trim to help me confirm, and then when we found out it was real I was absolutely blown away.
After that I called up my mum who’s always been my number one supporter. Truly a rollercoaster of emotions.
In what ways does where you’re living right now inspire your creativity?
Without question, it’s my community. Having traveled around the world in the early parts of my adulthood for work, I had never felt a true sense of belonging until I moved to Los Angeles.
The friends and colleagues I have made out here are truly what inspire me most to create.
Now that you’re part of the Young Guns community, are there any past winners you admire?
There are so many talented individuals, but the one that comes to mind first is Nik Kohler (YG20). His sense of pace and sound design when it comes to branded storytelling is unlike anything I’ve seen before.
Name a dream project you’d love to do next. Who would you want to collaborate with?
My taste is constantly evolving — one minute I’m obsessed with furniture and design, the next fashion and editorial, or even finding new approaches to my sports roots that pique my interest.
If anything, I want to collaborate with more Argentines in my industry and reignite the passion I have for my roots there. Meet new and upcoming talent in the hopes to shape our careers together. After all, this is just the beginning.
