After several rounds of judging that culminated in hours of deep discussion, the winners of Young Guns 23 have finally been revealed! And to absolutely nobody’s surprise, it’s another outstanding class of phenomenally talented individuals and teams across a wide variety of creative disciplines. This year, we are thrilled to welcome 33 winners into the Young Guns family!
Ahead of the YG23 Ceremony + Party, taking place at Manhattan’s Sony Hall on Wednesday, January 28 — you’ve already snagged your tickets, haven’t you? — we’ve captured a few thoughts from all of this year’s winners.

How did you end up in the creative field?
I graduated with a background in graphic design, where I took an animation class in one of the semesters and fell in love with it, leading me to further explore the field on my own.
I later worked in an advertising agency. I decided to pursue a career in animation during the pandemic.

Why did you decide to enter this year?
Yes, it is now or never.
You only get to submit six projects. How did you decide what made the cut?
Some of the pieces I submitted were dream projects I imagined during my college days. Besides that, I had a lot of creative freedom in those projects, which made it easier for me to express my creativity.
What was your reaction when you found out you won?
I’m super happy and grateful! I just got back from an overseas event and received the ADC Young Guns award while recovering from Covid and influenza. Celebrated with my girlfriend who’s also a Young Guns winner.
What inspires your creativity?
I think anyone who truly enjoys and is passionate about their job always inspires me.
Name a dream project you’d love to do next. Who would you want to collaborate with?
Maybe a movie?
