About the Work
A Russian hacker turns himself in to the FBI in the hopes of clemency, is used as a pawn to lure in former allies, and ultimately decides to escape and hack the FBI itself. The story twists, then twists again. It needed a bold opening statement to launch the reader into the midst of the emotional drama. Michiel Schuurman created this typographic composition to hint at the tangled web of the plot, weaving the words together and working with a shifting dot screen and color palate that is at once disorienting and mezmerizing.
