About the Work

The 5th of June 2016 the Swiss citizens voted for the creation of a Basic Income sufficient to cover living costs, paid individually to each person from birth to death, by the State. Switzerland is the first country asked to vote on this topic. To design the poster campaign we choose the minimalistic way of keeping only three elements: the symbol, the sentence and the white space. So the poster is no longer a political campaign but an art statement. It doesn’t contain any voting message, any date, any argument, but only a beautiful and minimalistic sign supported by a positive thought. This minimalistic approach generates a radical result: in a urban and overcrowded environment were everybody and everything is trying to sell you something, the idea of a simple and elegant sign on the space is like a breath of fresh air in a dusty desert.
