About the Work

For Netto, a German discount supermarket chain, we created an Easter season campaign to push the sales of Easter products – and also improve Netto’s brand image. Our insight: literally everyone in Germany knows the Easter bunny, but no-one knows the story behind it! Our idea: to finally reveal the origins of the Easter Bunny and thereby claim the legendary icon for Netto! In cooperation with The Mill (London) we created a 2 min. animated film showing a hen marrying a hare and giving birth to a special bunny that lays eggs – who then takes the human world by storm. The film ran on TV as a 90 sec. ad during prime-time on 7 major German channels and got attention all over the globe. A timeless piece that will capture new hearts every Easter.
