About the Work

Play-Doh wanted to show that modeling clay is still a wonderful way for kids to express themselves and develop their imagination. So we started with a very simple, yet universal idea: when kids play with modeling clay, they build their own stories, their own world, where anything is possible. That's how the « In the World of Play-Doh » campaign was born. And because the craft was part of the idea, every inch2 of the ads had to be 100% Playdoh’s DNA. So, the image, the typo and even the logo are all hand made. And finally, the "World of Playdoh” came to life. Truly. With 948 cans of modeling clay, 71 characters, 15 trees, 25,483 blades of grass, 4 pairs of hands, 10 months of work, a pinch of kid spirit, tons of fun. And a beautiful handmade message to the world we live in.
