About the Work

Artists Cristina de Middel and Bruno Morais won the Greenpeace Photo Award 2016 with their project Excessocenus. They created 40 images to raise awareness of the consequences of different environmental issues in Africa. In January 2018, Coalmine Museum in Winterthur (Switzerland) asked us to create an interactive expression of this photographic project. We created a site to discover the meaning behind these 40 images, while we communicated the abusive exploitation of natural resources and EXCESS through a very alarming and bold design. The site was projected in the museum so it also works as an animation if you don't click on the screen.
