About the Work

Xbox wanted to reach a brand-new audience where they spend their time: Instagram. But Instagram's algorithm is smart, as it learns what users like and serves it back for them to shop. Sneakerheads get shoppable shoe carousels, tech fans get gadgets, and fashion fans get the latest shoppable looks. To create relevant invitations for this new audience, Xbox infiltrated Instagram's highly-targeted shopping bubble by hijacking the top three shoppable categories on the platform. Custom carousels were created that gave shoe, tech, and fashion fans what they expect (namely: shoes, tech, and fashion), with an Xbox twist, thereby introducing them to Xbox and its games through the products they already love.
