About the Work

L’Occitane en Provence is a french cosmetics retailer available in more than 90 countries. But all their products come from a really small french garden, Provence. And all their species come from really small things: seeds. We designed a digital game to show this fragile bond between the seeds and the products by turning our iconic plants into iconic tamagotchi. People have to take care of them by giving water, sun and love through mini-games and wait carefully to reach each step of their evolution using addictive games mechanics and design inspired by tamagotchi games. Depending of their actions they could unlock and collect new seeds and make their garden bigger. When each plant grows up, people win l’occitane products made from the plant and real seeds of lavender, verbena or citrus tree they could collect in each l’Occitane shop and continue to take care of their favourite plants. We spread them on every social media. The game was available on desktop,mobile and tablet in 21 countries. At this day, our most performing digital campaign with an average of 24 minutes playing and thousands of seeds planted around the world.
