Body Type' is an experimental letter drawing project, incorporating programming and choreography. A p5js-based program was created to capture movements so that people are able to use their bodies to create drawings.

By analyzing the interaction between the users' body movements and the program (position, direction, and speed), we developed a moving system to generate a full alphabet. For example, the faster the performer walk, the straighter the line she can draw. Since the letters are drawn by human body, each of them embodies an actual human figure in it. As a part of the project, we designed a website, so that people can experience the project by themselves on the web. The project aims to study how kinetic features of body can be translated into typographic language and make letter drawing interactive and participatory experience.
